Khmelnytskyi Museum-Studio of Photography

The Museum of Photo Art is the first and the only one in Ukraine. The museum displays a collection of more than 2,500 exhibits (cameras, lenses, magnifiers, exposure meters and other accessories) that illustrate the development of photography and camera production from the late 19th to the late 20th centuries.

A relatively young institution today flaunts the largest collection of cameras in Ukraine. And there are more than half a thousand of them. From the doorway, visitors are greeted with old photographs. In addition, the first camera made in Ukraine is located here. There is also an exhibition of photographs taken without digital processing with a 170-year-old wooden camera.

Every month the museum opens a new exhibition of works done by the best photographers. An exhibition of old photographic equipment is permanently operating, among which almost all cameras were massively produced in the Soviet Union, but there are also many cameras from world manufacturers, starting from the end of the 19th century to the digital era.
