Century-old red beeches

These trees have their history and have seen the city long ago. Red beeches are more than a hundred years old!

In 1969, the trees were protected, making them a botanical monument of nature. Here is what historian Serhii Yusiunin writes about this in his essay «A Walk on Proskuriv»: «In 1904, Henrikh Dubetskyi became mayor and actively undertook the improvement of the city. In Proskuriv, they began to pave sidewalks, plant streets with trees and shrubs. During this period young seedlings of beech trees were planted on Starobulvarna Street (12 trees) (nowadays Haharina) and on Millionna Street (12 trees) (nowadays Heroiv Maidanu).
