Traveling around the city, you will definitely notice the individual aesthetic style inherent in the sculpture of Khmelnytskyi, and you will be right – behind it also lies a fascinating story! Much of the compositions are made of a variety of scrap metal, which was given a second life by the famous monumental artist, sculptor, painter, honorary citizen of Khmelnytskyi Mykola Mazur.
Colorful compositions amaze, how pipes, wheels, springs, pistons, bearings, tanks, reservoirs, worn-out car engines continue to live a new life.
The highest composition in a series of such works is Kosmos, located in the park named after M. Chekman. This is a 25-meter Spaceship, raised to a height of six meters, and a giant Cosmonaut 5 meters high. The objects are made of metal by welding. The bright, three-dimensional composition enchants with its uniqueness, leaving neither children nor adults indifferent!
