The Island of Love is one of the most picturesque places in Khmelnytskyi.
The island, pond, embankment and beach are of artificial origin. Active construction began in 1949 and lasted until 1952. At that time a pond was dig to its current size, a bridge was built, embankment was constructed and a water sports base was established. In 1956 the riverbed was filled with water.
