Brief introductory description:
In addition to the famous Medzhybizh Fortress and the Jewish Necropolis, you can visit several other interesting places. Yes, the village of Golovchyntsy is known for its healing springs. The Golovchynets quarry is extremely popular during the bathing season. In the picturesque Lysohirka, wells-cranes, sung about in folk songs, have been preserved. Next to Stavnytsia are located the ruins of a 16th-century fortress known in historical literature as Rakoczi. There is a stone tomb of Omelyan Kupchenko, not far from Shrubkov, who was a colonel of the time of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. Also, according to legends, somewhere near the village rests Maksym Kryvonis, an odious figure of the Cossack-peasant uprisings in Ukraine. There is a beautiful area in Zapadintsy and near Yaroslavka and Mytkivtsi; and in Volosivtsi, the Mashtarka has been preserved since ancient times. Near Mashtarka purebred Arabian horses were bred.

Medzhybizh Fortress (UAH 50 / per person)
Medzhybizh Castle is a monument of a fortification architecture of the 15-19th centuries. It was located on the cape near the confluence of the rivers Bog and Bozhok. Thу river Bozhok gave the name to one of the oldest settlements in Podillia – Mezhybozhe. Today, this settlement is the town of Medzhybizh, and the old rivers began to be called Southern Bug and Buzhok.
Jewish necropolis
Medzhybizh is a Hasidic Mecca. Pilgrims from all over the world, especially from Israel and the United States, come here to the tomb of the founder of this religious Jewish movement, Israel Baal-Shem-Tov. The excursion program includes a visit to the swimming pool in Trebukhivtsi.
Chapel columns
Two brick pillars of the 17th century have been preserved in Medzhybizh and in Trebukhivtsi. They are often called Turkish. There is a similar pedestal in Sataniv, and some researchers believe that they were erected by one master.

The grandfather turned his estate into a real museum. He makes fabulous attractions from improvised materials. Around the house now, there are fantastic animals and birds, bright flowers. He plans to construct a fabulous fountain.
Moving to Yaroslavka
Yaroslavsko-Mytkiv Sea. Between the villages of Yaroslavka and Mytkivtsi is a large reservoir called Anastavtsi Verkhni. A good place for outdoor recreation, where recreational fishing is allowed.
Moving to Volosivtsi
Mashtarka
Is a “closet” for harness. A place in a stable where items for harnessing or saddling horses and fodder were stored. During the time of the Russian Empire, purebred Arabian horses were bred here. There were stables around and open fences for horses. During the existence of the collective farm in the basement of the mashtrarka workers would cool milk from the farm during the summer.
Moving to Shrubkiv
The grave of Colonel Kupchenko, who was a Colonel of the time of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, the grave is located on the northern outskirts of Shrubkiv. There is also a legend that nearby was the grave of another Cossack leader – Maksym Kryvonis.
Moving to Zapadyntsi
St. Michael’s Wooden Church – built in 1733. It is an architectural monument of national importance. The church is one of the best examples of the Volyn school of wooden monumental folk architecture.
Moving to Golovchyntsi
The Holy Transfiguration Convent
The surrounding area for a long time has attracted to the monastery “chief ranks” of the Orthodoxical community. Hence the name of the settlement. A monastery well with healing water, located nearby, has long been considered a shrine.
Healing springs
Not far from the Holy Transfiguration Monastery is located the spring of St. Onuphrius, which is known for its healing properties. On the opposite outskirts of the village, not far from the extremely popular during the bathing season Golovchyntsi quarry, there is a spring from which the Olgerd water flows.

Wells-cranes
Cranes that were sung about in folk songs used to be in many villages. Two of such wells have been preserved in Lysohirka. They will be of interest to tourists who love to visit the heritage of Ukrainian material culture.
Farmer Roman Yefimenko
Roman Yefimenko from the village of Lysohirka, Medzhybizh area, breeds chinchillas and grows hundreds of grapes and flowers. You can also order a carriage ride and a dinner.
Returning to Khmelnytskyi city
