Plan a trip to the central Podillia, to Khmelnytskyi city, because from there you can easily get to the little-known, but very beautiful natural landscapes and waterfalls! The water network in Khmelnytskyi region is very close, so all waterfalls are twisted around almost one location. These water shows will not leave indifferent any tourist. 1). Maliivtsi waterfall
The picturesque Maliivtsi waterfall is located in Dunaiivtsi district of Khmelnytskyi region and reaches 18 meters in height. It is one of the few, who was created artificially. It is said that waterfall was created in the 18th century. The waterfall impresses with its fabulous appearance, so it constantly attracts tourists.
2). Burbun waterfall
There is mysterious and very beautiful Burbun waterfall in a deep ravine of Lysets village in Dunaiivtsi district. Its name comes from the words “bubonyt” (mutters) and “burkotyt” (grumbles). Burbun water is very clean and transparent and the depth of the lake, into which it flows, is quite deep. The bizarre waterfall inspires thoughts about Ukrainian mythology and also makes you want to stay here for a few days.
3). Holy spring and waterfall near Sokilets village
You will hardly be able to find this place on a map the first time, but the residents of Sokilets village will show you the way to the waterfall with great pleasure. According to the legend, Sokilets waterfall is 500 years old. Locals say that the sacred spring appeared here in the days of a medieval city, the walls of which are located near the reservoir. The area near Sokilets waterfall is similar to Norwegian landscapes and pictures from Brothers Grimm fairy tales.
4). Haidamaka Gerasymovych waterfall (Trybukhivka waterfall)
There is an interesting place, called Trybukhivka waterfall, on a high hill of the Studenytsia River bank opposite Trybukhivka village. According to the legend, in the 16th century haydamaka Gerasymovych lived in this place. The source of the waterfall is quite powerful and, according to legend, give the same healing power to all, who taste it.
5). Artificial waterfall near Sataniv village
This waterfall is more like an attraction of a natural aqua park, with clear geometric boundaries. Many vacationers of the local Sataniv Resort adore this cozy place. When you get here for a vacation, take a few empty bottles with you to collect healing water from a well-known source.
6). Huralskyi waterfall
The waterfalls of Khmelnytskyi region are located as close to each other as if each of them were ancient bracelet beads that twines between the Zbruch and the Dnister rivers banks. Huralskyi waterfall is located in the same Dunaiivtsi district, near Mynkivtsi village. This waterfall is one of the smallest in height and reaches about 5 meters. But despite its small size, the waterfall is not inferior in beauty to any of the waterfall beads of Khmelnytskyi region.
7). Rachyntsi waterfall
There is also a tiny waterfall in the small Rachyntsi village of Dunaiivtsi district. Locals tell interesting legends about it. And they say that there is always a special energy around this place.
8). Kupyntsi waterfall
Waterfall of Kupyntsi village in Horodok district is on the verge of extinction. Today Kupyntsi waterfall is the widest among the waterfalls of Khmelnytskyi region. It is located on the Smotrych River in seven kilometers from Horodok town. History of Kupyntsi waterfall is centuries old. Locals assure that the Smotrych River water streams subsided here even during the Turkish invasion in the 1670s. Next to the waterfall is another history monument – a large ancient mill.
9). Dziurkach waterfall
This waterfall is located near Karachkivtsi village. The waterfall is like a long ladder, through which the water of the Neikovyi stream flows rapidly into the Smotrych River. The place is quiet, peaceful and, in its own way, wonderful for relaxation.
10). Waterfall from Kamianets-Podilskyi bridge
Kamianets-Podilskyi waterfall exists only after heavy rains, when water gradually descend to the Smotrych River mirror through rocky obstacles and Novoplanivskyi bridge.
