Palace of solemn events (Registry office)

House No. 4 on Gagarin Street is culturally very valuable for the residents of Khmelnytskyi – it is the only operating registry office in the city. The beautiful building is considered to be a historical monument of the city.

The two-story baroque mansion was built in 1903 and belonged to one of the doctors of Proskuriv. Before the beginning of World War I, the owner rented out his house to the military. After the war, the house passed from one military organization to another, and at the end of World War II, the nomenclature workers lived there. Since 2001, after major repairs, the building is used as a Palace of solemn events.

The walls of the Palace still remember the emergency meetings and heated debates under the leadership of famous military leaders of the twentieth century. The military past makes the building very popular.
